Logos are often my favorite projects. A strong mark is pleasing at first glance, but also has a second level of meaning. Some examples: overlaid cards form a W, an expressive dancer is also a K, crosses could be seen as signs, and how about the letter f as a snorkel or two?
I call this work logo systems because they should involve secondary color palettes and fonts and have breadth and variety as they expand in use. What does the business card look like? The Instagram bug?The poster? ALL of it matters and should be thoughtfully considered.
I hope you’ll see conceptual thinking throughout the site, but here’s a sprinkling of ideas. Kegals: purposefully misspelled the word to accentuate a GALS’ soccer team. Brit Baskets: used a known symbol as a shape. Hillside: wrote tagline and showed its meaning with silhouettes. Film School: made the story theme show through, literally and figuratively. Preservation League of NY: created an awareness campaign in resume format.
Good design should always have a strong idea within.
Print was my first love. And it’s not dead! But in our digital days, it’s more crucial than ever to think carefully about how one interacts with a printed piece. How does it unfold? What does the paper feel like in hand? What’s the physical experience the internet can’t give? Figuring out those questions makes me happy.

I’ll work with you to construct impactful social media campaigns, create responsive web designs, and collaborate with programmers. Shown here are web presences for a university, a major corporate event, and a sweet primary school.
I plan multi-day shoots with clients and then collaborate and manage onsite. It’s fun, hard work. Here’s a little sampling of sweet lower school favorites with four talented photographer friends (in alphabetical order): Annie Tao, Billy Howard, Devon Morgan McKenna, and Jez Coulson.
Shoots shouldn’t be overly-planned or directed. You have to leave some room for magic!
From hand-drawn to technical to a storybook aesthetic, I’m an illustrative chameleon, matching the style to the project. A fox mascot mosaic represents multifaceted learning. A company logo shows its product and environmental mission. School posters demonstrate intellectual and individual growth. And an illustration series conveys whimsy, delight, and warmth.
I wouldn’t be true to my own identity if I didn’t include a page about my miniature-making. Handmade clay roses, paper daisies, little gardens, and holiday treasures bring out my inner child’s heart and imagination. It’s an enjoyable hobby with occasional craft fairs, commissions, and teaching opportunities. Someday I’ll have an Etsy site. For now, please follow me on Facebook and Instagram.
As a landscaper’s daughter, I have a passion for flowers and create fresh, colorful garden arrangements for small weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations. Often my biggest joys come from the littlest bouquets! Big or small blooms can come from my own garden or a wholesale florist or a mix of both. Please email me if you are interested in flower arrangements or in a flower arranging class for your group. I can bring all supplies needed.
